Course: Hosking Women's Ride - Tour Down Under 2023 | 60.9 km Cycling Route on Strava

Free registration

Meeting point: Argo on the Sqaure @ 8:30

Ride rollout: 9:10am

Norwood Cycling Club has partnered with Commonwealth Games Road Race Champion and four-time Tour Down Under stage winner to host a Women's Ride during the second stage of this year's Tour Down Under.

Chloe will lead the peloton on an appropriately paced ride starting near the TDU Village in Adealide's CBD. The peloton will meet in front of Argo on the Sqaure @ 8:30. This ride is set to be an awesome opportunity to cheer on the women's peloton during the second stage of the Women's Tour Down Under, ride some of the course the peloton will tackle themselves, meet and mingle with other cycling enthusiasts, pick the brains of 13 year world-tour (retired) pro Chloe Hosking, and meet some of the pros we'll be cheering on. We might even have the opportunity to ride with some of the women back into Adealide after the stage finish in Stirling.

This is a celebration of everything that is great about women's cycling and the Tour Down Under. We look forward to seeing you on the road!

The Route and Schedule:

8:30am Pre ride coffee and breakfast at Argo on the Square

**

9:00am Pre ride briefing

**

9:10am Ride rollout

**

All riders rollout from Argo on the Sqaure in Adealide CBD. Riders are welcome to join for the whole ride or just parts.

We will ride from Adelaide CBD out to the hills via Greenhill Road. Test your legs and meet the group at the top of the famous Adelaide climb, or take it your own pace and enjoy the view of Adealide city. Regrouping at the top our peloton will make our way towards Stirling and join the race route, riding the technical finishing circuit to Mylor.

12:00pm (approx) Arrive Verté Kitchen, Mylor

Arriving at Verté Kitchen riders will have the opportunity to refuel and refill at the 34km point of our ride. We will also have the opportunity to catch the peloton as they sprint for the second intermediate ZipTrak Sprint of the stage which is scheduled to ride past Mylor at 12:54pm.

13:10pm Direction Striling

**

Once the peloton cleaned up the intermediate sprint points, our peloton will jump back on the race route and ride the final 10km of the stage. Reaching Striling 42km into our ride, riders can then watch the peloton sprint for stage honours. Chloe's stage favourite for the stage is Ruth Edwards, who won this same stage in 2020. Who is your coffee money on? The race is predicted to finish at 14:14.

**

14:30 Meet the pros

**

After the stage, have the opportunity to chat with some of the riders who raced. Then cruise down the Crafers bikeway and finish back at the TDU Village. Anticipated arrival around 16:00.

All riders are welcome to join our bunch. This is a social ride with varying ages and abilities and the ride will be paced accordingly.

Make sure you have a well stocked spare kit and ride snacks! Registration for the ride is free, but any food or drink during the ride will need to be purchased by the riders themselves.

The ride is limited to 40 places. So register before you miss out! If you can't make it - no worries - but please scratch yourself so someone else can join our peloton!

An AusCycling Lifestyle (or better) licence is required to participate.

If you don't hold a licence but would like to attend you can take out a free trial licence on the AusCycling website, or better yet, join the Norwood Cycling Club.
