Canberra's only state open event on closed roads for all levels*.
The ACT’s premier state open cycling event returns to the nation’s capital on the 13th-14th October 2018 with graded racing for all levels*. Experience Canberra's number 1 road cycling event, which will this year be held on closed roads for all grades, and on courses that will give all types of riders a chance of success.
Expanding on last year’s event, 3 jerseys and classifications will add heightened competition to the event. The Ollo Industries Jersey will again be the coveted General Classification leaders jersey. The ‘Les Mills Sprint’ sprinters jersey will be available with points up for grabs on stages 2 and 3. A unique Masters Time Trial jersey provides an added incentive to masters riders, with the fastest time trial ridden in each of the following grades, both me and women, being rewarded with a jersey:
Stage 1: Individual Time Trial - Saturday 13th October 2018
Stage 2: Road Race - Saturday 13th October 2018
Stage 3: Kermesse - Sunday 14th October 2018
Entry Fee $165 - Included in the entry fee is a packed lunch on both days, provided by The Truffle Farm and the AIS.
Timing & Results - Timing for the event will be run by Cycling NSW. Live results will be available on myraceresults.com, with an event link being provided closer to the event
Disclaimers - For the National Capital Tour, "all levels" means the following club race grades: Men's A Grade, Men's B Grade, Men's C Grade, Men's D Grade, Women's A Grade, Women's B Grade. Cycling Australia regulations apply, including the use of an Australian Standard helmet. To enter the National Capital Tour, a Cycling Australia Race License is required.
Disc Brakes - Bikes with disc brakes will be permitted in all categories of the 2018 National Capital Tour.
