The 4F Twilight Series is run by women, for women (with the help of a few good men). The twilight criterium events are designed to be welcoming, safe, fun, affordable and social. Each event includes opportunities for learning and racing, as well as family-friendly activities.
The 4F Twilight Series is a team event - three criteriums (crits), teams of three, any combination of grades (A,B,C,D,E).
All teams need to register to be eligible to collect points for the 4F Twilight Series Teams Prize. There is no cost to register.
One team member should register the team – this person will be designated as the Team Organiser and will receive event related correspondence. Please include the team member names and their approximate grading (A/B/C/D/E) in the Entry Remarks to help with planning.
Team kit is preferred but not required, however riders from any given team are requested to wear similar colours (e.g. black jerseys).
What if team riders can't do all 3 races? The team can use substitute riders
What if we need help forming teams? Use the 4F Facebook events to connect
What if I don't have a team but I want to join in the series? Individual entries will be possible IF there is capacity after teams have entered. Some teams may also need fill-in riders, so keep an eye on the Facebook events.
The 4F Twilight Series is a team event, with riders in teams of three. Team members can enter any combination of grades A-E (Junior U13 & U11 will accrue points and receive separate recognition for the series.). Participation points from the three team members will go towards the overall total, with additional points awarded to the top 5 finishers in each criterium event. Teams registering a volunteer will also earn points.
Individuals not riding for a team will only be able to enter if there is capacity. Grades limits apply to promote rider safety, and there will be a wait list for each grade if we hit capacity.
There will also be skills sessions, Little Critters, a creche, and food vans.
Informal presentations will conclude rounds 1 & 2, recognizing top five placegetters in each race, and new racers.
Formal presentations of prizes will conclude round 3:
- Team Prize - teams podium & prizes (1,2,3)
- Rider 45+ - individual podium for riders 45+ (1,2,3)
- Junior Rider U11/13 combined podium (1,2,3)
- Rider of the Series - for showing fairness, determination and spirit
The A&B Grade Chase is a handicap, with B Grade given a head start, and A Grade chasing. C and D Grade will have separate race times. E Grade/U13/U11 will be on course at the same time, but race separately.
