Entered & can't make it? An automated refund is available using the EntryBoss' Scratching mechanism. Please note the scratching cut-off because non-attendance refunds after this time are at the discretion of the event organisers and may require a medical certificate.

Information

Welcome to Round 1 of the 2020 Cairns mtb club Enduro series, Round 1 is sponsored by DISCOVERY CYCLES there wil be BBQ drinks and random giveway prizes from DISCOVERY CYCLES after the event has finished at the pump track trailhead area

All riders are required to have to following gear to race, full Face helmet full finger Gloves Knee Pads Extra gear is optional

Make sure you have enough water to last the race or plan to refill, any tools required to fix any mechanical's as other riders may not be around to offer assistance

RACE FORMAT

Riders will have 5 hours 30min to complete as many timed runs on stages 1-2-3 ( with only fastest counted) and 1 run only on a special 4th stage, that will be announced to riders on race day

Start order is self seeding, so pick you spot, you can go straight after somone if you wish, there will be timing crew out on course but not at the start of every stage, dont leave big gaps or you might not make it back in time

Riders will be expected to complete blue,black, double black grade trails

U15 (13-114) - 3 stages

U17 (15-17) - 4 stages

Junior U19 (17-18) - 4 Stages

Veterans (30-44) - 4 Stages

Masters (45+) - 4 Stages

Expert (19-29) - 4 Stages

Elite 19+ - 4 Stages

open E-Bike - 4 Stages

Race Stages

Stage 1

-CLOONIES-Transit to this trail is via the pipeline climb, close to the top of pipeline you can turn right out onto worlds, then turn left, push up worlds track backwards, you will see a trail on your right- take that trail( there is arrows) and you will see cloonies trail, ride this trail all the way to the end around the water tank, across the road into the kids track to finish at the end

TRANSIT RETURN TO THE PARK- At the finish of the stage, take the first right hand turn towards the houses, ( if you go past a yellow gate turn around) after the last house on your right you will see a mtb park trail map go in the and push your bike up past the old abandoned house-DO NOT RIDE UP THE OLD HOUSE DRIVEWAY

Stage 2

-ROCKY DINGO- Full rocky dingo, take crocs teeth trail, across the bridge into centerpide ride all the way down to finish on the world cup downhill bridge

Stage 3

-PIPELINE - full top to bottom pipeline, using the new exit to finish on the ring road, go all the way do hard left hand turn at the end

Stage 4

Will be announced to all riders on race day, it will feature some classic smithfield trails with a new section, its steep tight and technical a true double black trail

• Riders will receive 100% refunds if the event is cancelled.
• We will do our best to communicate our intentions early if the event is at risk of not proceeding.
