About Shredding Betties

Shredding Betties is a Tasmanian mountain bike Club, run by women for women. We aim to shred stereotypes, shred comfort zones and shred a path forward for women and girls to enjoy a life of fitness, growth, connection and inspiration on bikes. Shredding Betties aims to inspire, encourage and connect.

Cost: Most of our rides are free.
participants and extra info Opportunity for our Intermediate Riders & EBikers to join the Shredding Betties for a no drop, fun ride together. If you haven't explored the fun tracks at Shag Bay or Pilchers Hill this is a great chance to learn your way around there.

There will be 2 groups departing from the Geilston Bay BMX Track (next to the Tennis Courts). Group A - Intermediate Riders Group B - EBike Riders |

What to bring

Without complicating things too much, here's our standard recommendation on what to bring.

If you aren't sure on anything, please ask. Also, please come regardless because we are more than happy helping new riders. We are all about participation.

  • Bike: | Mountain Bike in good condition and repair |
  • Spares: | spare tube and a pump |
  • Food: | snacks this ride will be between 2.5 to 3 hours |
  • Clothing: | bring a waterproof jacket and a warm layer |
  • protective equipment: | helmet|
