Canberra BMX Club is proud to host round 2 of the 2021 AusCycling NSW State BMX Series.


State Series Categories

Points are accumulated across the State Series on the following Categories.
Clubs may offer additional entry categories but they will not attract Series points.

The following non-series categories are offered by the host-club

Riding Up

All ages are based on year-of-birth (age as at 31/12/2021). For State Series rounds competitors may ride up in higher ability categories and/or ride the opposite gender category. Riders younger than 30 may enter older age categories up to the pinnacle class of 30-34. Riders older than 34 may enter younger age categories (higher in ability) down to the pinnacle class of 30-34. Participation categories are permitted to ride up within their category only. (e.g. Sprockets must stay in Sprockets and Novice must stay in the Novice Category).

Scratching:

Entered & now can't make it? An automated refund is available using the EntryBoss' Scratching mechanism. Please note the scratching cut-off because non-attendance refunds after this time are at the discretion of the event organisers and may require a medical certificate.

  • Pro Straights: - these are only available to Men's Superclass
  • Transponders:
    • This is a transponder timed event series.
    • it is a rider's responsibility to ensure the transponder is correctly affixed to their bike and is operational which includes subscription
    • Transponders can be purchased at https://www.sqorz.com/store/p3/transponder.html#/
    • A transponder must have an active Subscription PRIOR to entering. This can be done at https://mylaps.sqorz.com/
    • All riders (except Sprockets) must have a transponder
  • Plates:
    • Riders are required to supply a plate number at entry.
    • Any duplicate plate numbers will dealt with by adding an 'X' to one plate to resolve the duplicate.

Venue Specific Notices

No dogs are allowed at the track

IMPORTANT: Event Information

Due to COVID restrictions in ACT. This means some rules:

  • Entry into the event - check in via the CBR app compulsory, you will need to show the staff at the entrance point you have checked in and provide/show us with the ticket you will receive via email to confirm approval for entry, you will then be given wristbands.
  • Competitors capped at 650, with a wait-list.
  • Each competitor is limited to one spectator only (excluding officials and volunteers), if you require more please contact the club first and depending on our numbers we will then be able to advise if we have the capacity to allow more in after entries have closed.
  • Practice sessions - to limit the number of people can we please ask that you arrive just prior to your session time.
  • Club Tents: NO tents allowed track-side - tents can be set up around the fence line and please note they must be 1.5m from other club tents, please limit the number of tents to two where possible. There are NO bookings for tent spots and set up Saturday during open practice.
  • Social distancing of 1.5m to be maintained at all times.
  • There will be one entrance point and one exit point for the event. A map will be available soon.

Please do not attend if you:

  • Feel unwell
  • Have any flu-like symptoms
  • Travelled internationally in the past 14 days
  • Travelled to any hot spot areas
  • Have been exposed to a person with COVID-19 in the past 14 days
  • Have been tested for COVID-19 and have not yet received the results
  • Have a medical condition or are at an age which puts you in a high-risk category

Check In CBR app

The Check In CBR app is a contactless, secure and convenient way for customers to sign into a Canberra venue. Canberra BMX Club will be using the Check In CBR app to assist ACT Health with faster contact tracing.

Ahead of attending, please download the Check In CBR app and register your details. When you get to the track, there will be QR codes for you to scan, to complete the check-in.

Event Cancellation Refunds

  • Riders will receive 100% refunds if the event is cancelled.
  • We will do our best to communicate our intentions early if the event is at risk of not proceeding.
