Monday Social Bunch

From Monday 7 December onwards CCC will be hosting the 'Monday Social' club ride.

Ride Information

Starting at 6 am from Lennox Gardens the ride will take in Kingston Foreshore, Parliament House, Alexandrina, Yarralumla and finish at Farmers Daughter by 7am for coffee.

If required, the ride will stop to regroup after the Parliament House up ramp.

The ride:

• is open to riders from all clubs
• is a social, supportive, and inclusive bunch
• is run as speed dating pairs
• is 'no-drop', and stays together
• is focused on supporting new riders into the club
• will role model excellent bunch etiquette
• is designed to allow experienced riders to share their knowledge with new riders
• will include a healthy dose of general chit chat after the weekend that was

CCC members are encouraged to come along each week in their CCC club kit.

The bunch start is Lennox Gardens.

Registration

To manage our COVID record-keeping and participation reporting we require all participants to register each week via EntryBoss.

Licences

A Ride or better Cycling Australia (or AusCycling equivalent eg Lifestyle) licence is required to participate. Riders who hold other third party insurance (eg ACT Vets or Pedal Power) are welcome to attend.

If you don't hold a licence but would like to attend you can take out a free trial licence on the AusCycling website, or better yet, join the Canberra Cycling Club.

Event Risk and Acknowledgement Waiver

By entering online, riders agree that they have read, understood and accept the Canberra Cycling Club ‘Event risk and acknowledgement waiver’ as set out below.

1. I understand, acknowledge and accept that cycling is an inherently dangerous sport, which may result in serious injury or death from a collision, fall, mechanical failure, physical exertion or other incident.
2. I voluntarily participate in this event at my own risk.
3. I waive any rights I may otherwise have against Canberra Cycling Club, the event promoter and their agents and representatives relating to, and agree they are not responsible for, any loss or damage resulting from my participation in the event, including any loss that may arise from death or injury to myself or others, or damage to any property.
4. If the participant in this event is under 18 years of age, I warrant that I am a parent or guardian of the participant and agree for myself and the participant that I provide the acknowledgements, agreements and waiver set out above in respect of the participant.
