About

STOP PRESS - NOW OPEN TO ALL RIDERS (not just Macedon locals) Sign up now as numbers are limited!

Note: Although these sessions are designed to help prepare for the Hanging Rock Handicap, you don't have to commit to this or any racing to join in. They will focus on safe group riding. Whether new to it or already racing, our coaches will tailor the sessions to suit the needs of all participants. Everyone will gain valuable experience and knowledge.

A series of 4 hands-on skills sessions with the expert team at Kilowatt Cycle Coaching, aimed to prepare you for the February handicap race. Whether you intend to race or not, whether you are starting your road racing journey or already have heaps of experience, there will be something for you.

These sessions are about practising new skills in a safe and friendly environment. They will cover bunch riding, fast rolling turns, echelons, trying different race scenarios and tactics, and how to prepare.

Each session builds on the previous, and you’ll get the most out of it if you attend all 4 sessions, but you are welcome to attend as many as you are able.

These sessions are for residents of the Macedon Ranges Shire Council area. The first 2 sessions will be at the Castlemaine Velodrome, the other two on quiet local roads, with on-road cycle and follow car support. Numbers will be limited to allow maximum benefit to participants.

Places are limited. Please sign in to confirm your place.

Cost
