About the Race:

No silks required today, just good old fashioned lycra. This week the Supervets are hosting all race comers for this annual event that is growing in statue every year. Once again the race will be held on the world famous, 3 lap course of Paraparap. But don't underestimate the quality of riders who will come from far and wide to participate. Last years race had it all - 40 entrants, with each bunch chaffing at the bit to start and when that starter gave them the signal, they burst out of the start gate in pursuit of the finish line. Last year saw Jesse Cropley break away from his bunch for the win, with scratch riders filling the minor places. Who will grasp the opportunity to be first across the finish line this year??

Races are conducted at Paraparap, Victoria.

• GSCC conducts road racing events in the beautiful hinterland of Geelong’s Surfcoast region at Paraparap.

• The GSCC Club house is situated on Grassdale Rd, on the corner with Hunts Rd, it is just off Hendy Main Rd.

Race Details:

• Masters SuperVets racing. Open to AusCycling members aged, Males 30 years & older and Females 23 years & older, who hold a “Club” or “Race” membership.

• Course: Start at clubrooms, 3 laps, finish Larcombes A - 38km

• 9.30am sign in at Clubrooms, 10am race start

Misc.

• Course and distance to be confirmed by SuperVets coordinator via email prior to each Wednesday's race.

• Enter early, no late or walk up entries on the day

Safety Briefing

Races are conducted on open public roads & GSCC holds the necessary permits for this event.

The safety of Riders, Officials & the general public is our priority, please observe the following instructions :-

*Keep to the left at all times, to minimize the impact to other road users

*Obey Road Rules at all times

*Follow the directions of race officials

*In the sprint, maintain a straight line, and keep both your hands on the bars before, during and after the sprint

*Have a working tail light

*Attend the pre race briefing

While every endeavour has been to provide riders with a safe riding environment, we cannot predict the unexpected - cycle racing can be a dangerous sport.
