Lister Sprinter Challenge - Nundah Criterium - Sat 17th October 2026

Free Race Entry for all riders.

• Riders from all clubs invited to come and race.

• Racing in memory of HWCC member, Carolyn Lister - event sponsor, John Lister.

• Juniors - Sorry no Junior-only races to be held on this day. To race in senior HWCC races, U15 and U17 riders must be approved by their club and have a HWCC grading.

Prizemoney for each grade (A, B, C, D Grades) -

• All male and female riders eligible -

1st place - $50
2nd place - $25
3rd place - $15
Prime - $10

• Additional Women’s Prizemoney (must be a minimum of 2 women entered per Grade) -

1st place - $25
Women’s Prime - $10

If 8 or more women are entered in any grade the HWCC Women’s race policy of a ‘race in a race’ kicks in and prizemoney for first 3 places will be paid (prize values based on the number of entries).

• New Rule for Nundah Crits. For all criteriums held at Nundah from 1st October 2026, any rider who wins in either B, C or D Grade, will be required to enter the next Nundah crit in the next higher grade. After the one race in the higher grade, the rider is required to race in subsequest races back in their usual grade.

• Weather? - Always return to this page pre-race, to read any updates in the event of dodgy weather/cancellations. Advice will be posted as early as possible.

• Haven't raced before? - you can get a 4 Week Trial membership from Auscycling. Please select, Hamilton Wheelers Cycling Club as your club to receive HWCC race entry discounts and eligibility to enter HWCC member-only events. You must still apply for a HWCC grading, before you will be allowed to race.

The Basics

Eligibility - Licence - When a rider enters to race, in addition to accepting all terms & conditions, they are certifying that they have a valid AusCycling Race licence for this type of event valid for the day of the event and that they are not suspended or disqualified by AusCycling from racing.

Eligibility - Grading - Riders must have an approved HWCC race grading. Riders who fail to have a HWCC grading or fail to submit a grading application when they enter this event will have their entry rejected - Click Here for details.  Provide a detailed explanation if you are applying to enter a different grade and check the start list before your race. HWCC Handicappers' decisions are final.

Entries - Entries close 7pm on the day before the event.

Course - The course is the Nundah Criterium Circuit (1.2km), Hedley Ave Nundah.

Registration/Start times - Closes 10 minutes before each grade's start times.

Prizes - Big Prizemoney for every Grade. Riders must present themselves at the post-race winner's podium presentations at the clubhouse to collect their prizemoney.
