Welcome to Round 1 of the JOYRIDE ROOKIE CUP for 2026!!!

Australia's favorite Downhill Series, which is recognized & sanctioned by AusCycling as the official Victorian Junior State DH Series!!!

Providing a pathway into open age State & National level competition, while also creating the perfect entry point for first-time racers, the Rookie Cup is designed to nurture the next generation of downhill riders. It gives emerging talent the confidence, skills and experience to build a strong foundation and progress through the sport.

Note *: Effective race ages are as at 31 Dec. ie: if you have not turned 9 by 31/12/26, you cannot enter this year.

Entry

Please note: you MUST have a current AusCycling (AC) licence to race at the Rookie Cup, to ensure you are insured during the event.

Your AC Licence must be a 'Race' Licence, and the membership number must be used when entering the event. A 'Junior' licence ($99 annually) can be used for riders in U11 & U13 categories and a 'Concession' licence ($169 annually) can be used for riders in U15, U17 & U19 categories.

Pricing

**To support the riding community and in an endeavor to keep travelling costs down, we have elected this year to keep races as close to Melbourne as possible. However, due to ever increasing costs, we have had to slightly increase entry fees this year but have done our best to keep this to a minimum.

Regular Entry: $195 (Includes GST) per event/no season pass

PLEASE NOTE This event is being held on private land. To help the owner maintain the access roads, a small $5 fee per vehicle is requested each day you attend, which will be collected at the entry gate. CASH is preferred, so please bring this along with you!!!

Scratching: Can't make it & would like to withdraw?
You can withdraw your entry & trigger your own automated refund by scratching. Keep an eye on the organiser's scratching cut-off, because refunds are self-serve up until that time. After that cut-off, refunds are at the discretion of the organiser.

Waitlisting

• There is a capacity constraint on our events, which may mean you receive a message to say you have been ‘waitlisted’ at entry.

• Waitlisting means the age category is full, but you have been placed on a waitlist to see whether another entrant scratches, and a spot becomes available.

• If a spot does become available and you are given a start, you will appear on the startlist and receive an email to advise your status has changed.

• If you do not get to participate in the event, you will receive a full refund.

• If you no longer want to be on the waitlist, you can take yourself off & trigger your own refund by Scratching through the EntryBoss system.
