About

Join us this winter for the Eureka Cycling Club Winter Criterium Series, a four-race series designed to keep riders racing, connected, and motivated throughout the colder months.

Open to all riders aged 18 years and over who hold a current AusCycling Race Licence, the series provides a fun, friendly and competitive racing environment for cyclists of all abilities. Whether you're looking to sharpen your race fitness, gain experience in criterium racing, or simply enjoy the camaraderie of riding with others, this series has something for everyone.

Our goal is to create an inclusive and welcoming community where riders can challenge themselves, support one another and enjoy quality racing during winter. With four exciting races, participants will have the opportunity to test themselves against a variety of competitors while building connections within the cycling community.

Entry

  • Online entries close 5:00 pm Saturday 11 July 2026
  • On the day entries will be accepted

Grading

Please help the Handicappers by providing commentary of your race ability. This may include your average KM per hour or names of rider whom you normally race against.

The handicappers will then go to work building the race and assigning grades based on entries.


Distance

Each division will be on course for a set time before being shown a 2 laps to go board at the start/finish line. Each division will be advised of their race time during briefing.

Race-day Registration

  • Location: Assembly Ave, Mitchell Park, VIC
  • Rego open: 9:00am
  • Rego close: 9:15am
    Process: riders MUST attend in person to register attendance, confirm emergency contact details and collect equipment
  • Non-Eureka members, must present proof of valid AusCycling racing license to register.

Disclaimer

  • This is not a closed road event. *ALL riders should be wary of vehicles and other road users straying onto the criterium circuit.
  • A minimum of 20 entries required for the event to take place.
  • In the event of weather warnings or un friendly race weather, the committee with announce at 7:00am on Sunday 12 July 2026 if the race is to be cancelled.

Equipment

  • Standard non-powered road bicycles, with curved bars ONLY.
  • Riders must ensure their equipment is in good working order and have a working, solid (non flashing) tail light and helmet.
  • 
Race Commissaires may conduct spot checks of equipment and tail lights and reject entries if equipment does not meet required standards.
