About the Race:

After a long absence, this week’s course finally returns and with it comes a race that will test both strength and teamwork from the opening kilometres. The key battlegrounds will be the climbs along Blackgate and Nobles Rd, where bunches could be blown apart, or forced to unite in the fight for survival. If riders can overcome the challenges of Blackgate and Nobles Rd, the next test awaits on the fast descent back from Nobles Rd, where the sprinters will be eager to lift the speed and stretch the field even further. From there, it’s onto the familiar single lap of Forest Rd before the race builds toward its final showdown. And if there’s anything left in the legs after all that, the riders in the leading group will need to judge their effort perfectly and position themselves strategically for the run to the finish on Larcombes Rd - B, where timing, tactics, and one final kick could decide the honours.

Races are conducted at Paraparap, Victoria.

  • GSCC conducts road racing events in the beautiful hinterland of Geelong’s Surfcoast region at Paraparap.
