This is round 1 of the 2026 Hamilton Wheelers Hero Series (Hamilton Hero Series flyer below).
Race Distances - Senior Grades - 20 laps (24km). Junior Grades - distance in accordance with AusCycling rules (below). Please count accurately the number of laps or use your cycling computer so as not to ride too few (or too many!) laps.
TT and Road bikes permitted.
Electronic Timing - All riders will be required to afix a supplied electronic timing tag to their seat post and return it (and the rubber fastener) to the sign-on desk after the event.
AusCycling 'Lifestyle' licence holders may compete in this event.
Bikes/Drafting - Unlike criteriums and road races, time trial bars or time trial bikes are allowed in this event. However drafting behind other riders is strictly prohibited.

Haven't raced before? - you can get a 4 Week Trial membership from Auscycling. Please select, Hamilton Wheelers Cycling Club as your club to receive HWCC race entry discounts and eligibility to enter HWCC member-only events. You must still apply for a HWCC grading, before you will be allowed to race.
Eligibility - Licence - When a rider enters to race, in addition to accepting all terms & conditions, they are certifying that they have a valid AusCycling Race licence for this type of event valid for the day of the event and that they are not suspended or disqualified by AusCycling from racing.
Eligibility - Grading - Riders must have an approved HWCC race grading. Riders who fail to have a HWCC grading or fail to submit a grading application when they enter this event will have their entry rejected - Click Here for details. Provide a detailed explanation if you are applying to enter a different grade and check the start list before your race. HWCC Handicappers' decisions are final.
AusCycling 'Lifestyle' licence holders - Riders may also compete in this event, but not as competition - they ride only for a recorded time.

Entries - Entries close 7pm on the day before the event.
Course - The course is the Nundah Criterium Circuit (1.2km), Hedley Ave Nundah.
Prizes - Cash prizes awarded proportional to entry numbers.
