About the Race:

This week’s racing is set to have a little more zing than usual, with our world-famous handicap race getting an extra boost thanks to the generous support from long standing club friend White Cross Healthcare Solutions. Their contribution has lifted the prizemoney pool, adding even more incentive to what is already one of the most competitive formats on the calendar. With more on the line, expect the hard-core racers to come out in force. The racing dynamic will be as fierce as ever - limit bunches digging deep to hold their advantage, while the scratch bunches wind it up in pursuit. We’re looking forward to a strong turnout as riders line up to chase that elusive win and a share of the prize pool (cha-ching $$).

Races are conducted at Paraparap, Victoria.

• GSCC conducts road racing events in the beautiful hinterland of Geelong’s Surfcoast region at Paraparap.

• The GSCC Club house is situated on Grassdale Rd, on the corner with Hunts Rd, it is just off Hendy Main Rd.

Race Details:

• Masters SuperVets racing. Open to all AusCycling members male 60 years of age or older and female 50 years of age or older

• Course: Start at clubrooms and 3 laps, finish Larcombes Rd (A)

• 9.30am sign in at Clubrooms, 10am race start

• Course and distance to be confirmed by SuperVets coordinator via email prior to each Wednesday's race.

• Enter early, no late or walk up entries on the day

Safety Briefing

Races are conducted on open public roads & GSCC holds the necessary permits for this event.

The safety of Riders, Officials & the general public is our priority, please observe the following instructions :-

*Keep to the left at all times, to minimise the impact to other road users

*Obey Road Rules at all times

*Follow the directions of race officials

*In the sprint, maintain a straight line, and keep both your hands on the bars before, during and after the sprint

*Have a working tail light

*Attend the pre race briefing

While every endeavour has been to provide riders with a safe riding environment, we cannot predict the unexpected - cycle racing can be a dangerous sport.
