About the Race:

Blackgate Rd is back - and smoother, faster than ever and ready to rip after its long-awaited resurfacing. After sitting out since mid-2025, it returns to the race calendar with one promise: speed. But don’t get too comfortable because just around the corner, Blackgate Road is waiting … and it’s ruthless. Three trips up and back will have legs screaming and lungs burning before you’ve even hit the final lap. This isn’t just a race, it’s a showdown with yourself. When the pressure hits and the road bites back, who’s willing to suffer, dig deeper than ever before, and fight for the glory of that checkered flag?

Races are conducted at Paraparap, Victoria.

• GSCC conducts road racing events in the beautiful hinterland of Geelong’s Surfcoast region at Paraparap.

• The GSCC Club house is situated on Grassdale Rd, on the corner with Hunts Rd, it is just off Hendy Main Rd.

Race Details:

• Masters SuperVets racing. Open to all AusCycling members male 60 years of age or older and female 50 years of age or older

• Course: Start at clubrooms, out to Blackgate Rd and return x 3

• 9.30am sign in at Clubrooms, 10am race start

• Course and distance to be confirmed by SuperVets coordinator via email prior to each Wednesday's race.

• Enter early, no late or walk up entries on the day

Safety Briefing

Races are conducted on open public roads & GSCC holds the necessary permits for this event.

The safety of Riders, Officials & the general public is our priority, please observe the following instructions :-

*Keep to the left at all times, to minimise the impact to other road users

*Obey Road Rules at all times

*Follow the directions of race officials

*In the sprint, maintain a straight line, and keep both your hands on the bars before, during and after the sprint

*Have a working tail light

*Attend the pre race briefing

While every endeavour has been to provide riders with a safe riding environment, we cannot predict the unexpected - cycle racing can be a dangerous sport.
