About the Race:

This race represents how cycling has a way of forging bonds that go beyond the road. The shared rides, the laughter over a coffee, the banter after a race - all of it builds a camaraderie that’s hard to explain but deeply felt. Through the rides and experiences we share, friendships grow stronger, and rivals become mates. This year, the sudden loss of Les and Dave has left a space that can’t be filled, but stories will be retold and their lives remembered. We hope you can join us and share those stories as we remember our mates. Thanks for the memories, the good times, and the legacy of friendship. Vale Les and Dave.

Races are conducted at Paraparap, Victoria.

• GSCC conducts road racing events in the beautiful hinterland of Geelong’s Surfcoast region at Paraparap.

• The GSCC Club house is situated on Grassdale Rd, on the corner with Hunts Rd, it is just off Hendy Main Rd.

Race Details:

• Masters racing, Open to all AusCycling members males over 30 years of age and females over 23 years of age

• Course: Start at clubrooms, out to Nobles Rd + 1 lap, Nobles + 1 lap, finish Larcombes Rd (B) - 51kms

• 8.30am sign in at Clubrooms, 9am race start

Provide your AusCycling license number, transponder number and expected racing grade

No on the day entries

Race Fees

• $15 entry fee for GSCC members
  
• $20 entry fee for visitors. (Non GSCC members)
  
• Transponders required - $5 Hire Fee (Please note a fee of $50 will be levied for unreturned Transponders)

Safety Briefing

Races are conducted on open public roads & GSCC holds the necessary permits for this event.

The safety of Riders, Officials & the general public is our priority, please observe the following instructions :-

• Keep to the left at all times, to minimize the impact to other road users

• Obey Road Rules at all times

• Follow the directions of race officials

• In the sprint, maintain a straight line, and keep both your hands on the bars before, during and after the sprint

• Have a working tail light

• Attend event pre race briefing

While every endeavour has been to provide riders with a safe riding environment, we cannot predict the unexpected - cycle racing can be a dangerous sport.
