Race Details

Venue: Mackay Cycling Club
Address: Creek St, Walkerston
Sign-On: From 5:00 pm for all age groups
Racing Start: 6:00 pm
Estimated Finish: 8:00 – 8:30 pm

Racing Schedule

• 5:30 pm – Warm-up
• 6:00 pm – Racing Start

Events:

• Time Trial – 500 m or 1000 m (depending on age)
• Scratch Race
• Keirin

Omnium-style scoring across all three events.
Mackay Cycles Jerseys awarded to age-group overall winners and presented on the night.
Estimated last race: 8:00 – 8:30 pm.

Age Groups and Time Trial Distances

Juniors: U9, U11/13, U15/17
TT distance: U9–U11 = 500 m; U13–U17 = 500 m or 1000 m (commissaire’s discretion)

U19 & Masters:
Masters raced in 10-year brackets (30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60+)
TT distance: typically 1000 m (500 m may be used at commissaire’s discretion)

Seniors: $10
Juniors: $5

Race Information

• AusCycling licence required (trial options available)
• Race numbers issued for season use
• No hold starts – riders start from the fence (parents may assist juniors)
• New riders welcome – limited club bikes available

Venue Information

• Spectators welcome – free entry
• Canteen: Cold drinks and snacks available
• Pizza provided by the Mackay Cycling Club after racing
• Parking: Around the cycling clubhouse (please avoid blocking cricket club access)
• Toilets: Behind the cricket clubhouse
