The Basics

HWCC Championship Rules - Only Hamilton Wheelers members (and 'Add-on' members) are eligible to enter. HWCC 'Add-on' members are eligible to race and will be receive podium recognition, however 2024 Club Championship points and medals will only be awarded to full HWCC members.

Prizes - Club Championship presentations of medals/trophies/club champion jerseys will be made after racing at Nundah on Saturday 26th October. There are no cash prizes for this event.

Eligibility - It is the rider's responsibility to ensure they have an AusCycling licence valid for racing on race day, before entering the event. Riders must not race without a valid race licence.

Licence Acknowledgement (Important) - When a rider enters to race, in addition to accepting all terms & conditions, they are certifying that they have a valid AusCycling Race licence for this type of event and that they are not suspended or disqualified by AusCycling from racing. Failure to ensure a licence is valid when racing, makes the rider liable to severe sanctions from AusCycling and exposes them to litigation for actions against them, which are not covered by insurance.

Eligibility - Grading - Riders must have an approved HWCC grading for graded events. Riders who fail to have a HWCC grading or fail to submit a grading application when they enter this event will have their entry rejected - Click Here for details.  Provide a detailed explanation if you are applying to enter a different grade and check the start list before your race. HWCC Handicappers' decisions are final.

Entries - Entries close 7pm on the evening before racing.

Course - The course is the Nundah Criterium Circuit (1.2km), Hedley Ave Nundah. HWCC restricts races to 60 riders per race at this course.

Registration Desk - Closes 10 minutes before each grade's start times.

Club Championship notes from HWCC By-Laws - The Club Championship events are conducted in 3 events, Road Race, Time Trial and Criterium and in each of the current club grades i.e. A Grade, B Grade etc. As such, they do not form part of the Winter Aggregate point score, but are scored on the following basis in each of the three events. Junior club championships are the exception as they are conducted in Age divisions for U9, U11, U13 and U15, U17. Male and Female riders start together but separate points are awarded.

Gold, Silver and Bronze medallions are awarded for each discipline and a special Hamilton Wheelers Jersey is awarded in each category to the rider who accumulates most points over the three events. Riders will remain in their grades for the whole championship unless absolutely necessary - if riders move up a grade they will carry half their points over.

Club Championship Points 1st 10 + Gold Medal 2nd 6 + Silver Medal 3rd 4 + Bronze Medal Start 1 Finish 1 Perform roster duty at Club Championship event 2pts Commissaire at club Championship event 4 pts

A special Club Champions jersey is awarded to the rider in each category with the highest aggregate points and who has competed in all of the three club championship events. There must be more than one rider, in each championship event, in the category for a jersey to be awarded. In the event if a tie, the winner is determined by the greater number of highest places. If required after this the ITT time will decide the winner.

Primary Club members only are eligible for Club Championship points and championship medals. Add On members may participate and may receive podium recognition only.

Women in each event need to claim their places to ensure the club scorers can determine the ladies champions in each grade.
