Event Information

Event Location: 2 Lawson Pde, Castlemaine

Date: 6th September 2025

Entry fee: $30

Registration and Start Times: Registration will open at 8 am. The first race will begin at 9am. A detailed schedule is outlined below.

Parking Parking will be along the street in Lawson Parade and Blakeley rd. Please be mindful of the local residents and not park in their driveways.

Coffee Van will be on site from 8am

Refunds You may withdraw/scratch before the entries close and receive a refund; otherwise, no refund will be given.

The Castlemaine round of the Victorian Schools MTB series will be ran on the school grounds and surrounding bushland. A shorter course will be provided for the younger categories. Riders are expected to race on a roadworthy bike. A bike mechanic will be on hand to provide bike checks as needed. If you are racing the Bendigo round, please keep your number plate. You will be using the same plate for both days!

Event Categories

The following event categories will be conducted during all State Series rounds and recognised accordingly in the series points.

Individual courses will determine actual race distance

Riders can choose to enter either one of two categories in their chosen age category:

• Novice category is suitable for a rider who is new to MTB racing or has limited experience racing before.
• Racing category is suitable for a rider who is experienced and raced at either Club, State or National levels.

Provisional start times are listed below in the event schedule, these are subject to change if circumstances change. Race Marshalling will occur 10 mins before start time.

12:15 pm	Under 15 Boys race and novice divisions
1:00 pm	Under 17 and Under 19 Boys Race & Novice division
2:15 pm	Round 6 Presentations

To keep the day on schedule the course may be closed after the first rider of the category is finished.
