Eligible Riders

Riders Participating in the Elite Road Race must meet the following requirements:

The Elite and U23 competitions are closed to international competitors and it is important to be aware of the following criteria that must be met to be eligible to compete in the National Championships:

Australian citizens and registered with the UCI as Australian, AND;

• Have not ridden for another country in that national team in the preceding two years

• Have not contested the national championships of another country in the preceding two years

Riders must also have met one of the following

• Be a current (or have been within the last year) a member of a National Road Series Team or UCI Registered Team;
• Finished in the top 20 in the previous 3 years in an Elite Road National Championships;
• Finished the M23 road race in the past two years or finished the JM19 road race in the past two years;
• Finished top 20 in a National Road Series event in the past 2 years;

Wildcard: If you do not meet these requirements please email road@auscycling.org.au prior to entering with your racing accomplishments prior to entering to receive a confirmation of eligibility.
