The Melbourne to Warrnambool Cycling Classic is an iconic Victorian sporting event which is the second oldest one day cycling event in the world and the longest in the Southern hemisphere.
The race, which over the years has faced many challenges and has been conducted over various routes to meet ever evolving safety requirements, continues to grow in popularity each year.
Over its 120 year history hundreds of volunteers, Warrnambool and surrounding businesses, service groups, and the media have all contributed with great passion to ensure the Classic continues to be a prestigious cycling event that riders take great pride in entering, completing, and for a few, winning.
The format for 2016 is a graded mass start road race - comprised of Elite Men (NRS registered riders), Women, B Grade Men, C Grade Men and D Grade Men.
Entries for the Melbourne to Warrnambool are always highly sought after. Hence, the following three phase entry process will be observed for the event:

May 23 - 29: Entries open for National Road Series and invited international teams TEAM ENTRY LINK
May 30 - June 5: Entries open for Past Finishers
Entry for past finishers will be available from midday on Monday May 30 via the EntryBoss System - note your year/s of finishing in the comments section.
June 6: Women's & General Entries Open
General Entry will open at midday on Monday June 6 via the EntryBoss System
Due to the huge demand for places in the Melbourne to Warrnambool, a different scratching policy will be used.
Firstly, entry transfers from one person to another are not allowed.
In addition, the following cut-off dates will apply for scratching/refunds:
Scratchings made on or before September 17: 100% refund through Entryboss only.
Any scratching after September 17 will forfeit your entry fee.
Early registrations will be available at Cycling Victoria, DISC, from 10am - 5pm on Friday October 14.
On-the-day registrations will also be available.
