THE BASICS

Eligibility - Must have a valid AusCycling race licence. Riders from all clubs invited.

Entries - Entries close 7pm on Friday evening.

Gradings - Enter in your current HWCC grade. Provide an explanation if you wish to enter a different grade and check the start list on Friday evening. HWCC Handicappers' decisions are final.

Registration - From 6.00am - closes 10 minutes before race starts.

Race Distances - A, B, C and D Grades - 40km. U19, E and F Grades - 20km. U15 and U17 Juniors - 13.7km.

Prizes - Cash prizes awarded proportional to entry numbers.

RACE DISTANCES

HWCC A, B, C & D Grades - Two laps - 40km. (heading south to turnaround, back to the start, north to turnaround, back to start x2)

U19, E and F Grade - one lap 20km. (heading south to turnaround, back to the start, north to turnaround, back to start (20km)

U15 & U17 juniors - one half lap 13.7km. (heading south then back to the start)

SCHEDULE

All riders start at 30 seconds intervals in the order they register (First entered is first away). First rider away at 7am. Registration open from 6am


EVENT DETAILS

Eligibility - Riders from any club with a valid AusCycling race licence may race. 'Lifestyle' licence holders may also ride, but not as competition - they ride only for a recorded time. Riders must have a Hamilton Wheelers race grading - details - http://www.hamiltonwheelers.com/general-info/club-grading-list

Race entries Entries will only be accepted from riders with a current grading with Hamilton Wheelers. If you select a different grading when you enter you won't go on the start list. Check the grading lists on the website to confirm. Apply for a grading no later than 8pm Thursday night.

Rollout - All Juniors U19s and lower must get their gearing rollout checked BEFORE picking up their race number

EntryBoss Entry - Please make sure your current AusCycling licence number is registered with EntryBoss before entering. Do not use a previous licence number. Entries are checked against AusCycling current/financial licence lists. Riders should have their digital licence ready or printed email ready to show if requested. Registration - closes 15 minutes before race start. Riders who miss the compulsory commissaire's briefing will not be allowed to start and entry will be refunded

Prizes - Prizes are proportional to entry numbers and awarded to the first 3 place getters plus first unplaced female in each race (provided there are more than one in the race). If there are more than 7 ladies in a particular grade, there will be a separate Ladies only category with places for the first three ladies awarded seperately.

Race Scratchings - If riders find they are unable to race after entering HWCC races, they may 'scratch' themselves up to 5am on normal race days, 3pm for Twilight races and up to 7pm the night before handicap races - the entry fee will be refunded. Click on the 'Scratch' button on the EntryBoss event page. Please note that there is a very small cost to the club due to unrecoverable merchant fees, whenever riders' scratch themselves.

Wet-weather Policy - A decision to cancel due to poor weather will be made by the Chief Commissaire with announcements via the club's social pages. Generally, we race in all weather, except heavy rain or if there are sheets of water on the road surface. Any decision on cancellation will be made as early as possible.

All race entry fees will be refunded if races are cancelled.

Race Rules - Racing is conducted under the auspices of AusCycling rules and regulations. Helmets must comply with Australian/International regulations.

COVID-19 POLICY

This event will be conducted using the current guidelines or rules established by Queensland Government, the Queensland Health Officer, AIS, AusCycling Australia and AusCycling Queensland.
