**In response to ongoing feedback from our Members, Cycling Queensland is exploring how to create a greater balance between Elite and Masters racing. By dispersing riders more evenly between these categories, we will: Improve safety of racing, particularly in the growing Masters category Increase the standard of Elite racing by retaining experienced riders in the peloton Deliver a more equitable racing experience for Masters riders, particularly MAS3+ Therefore, in consultation with the Cycling Queensland Sports Commission and Clubs, we are implementing a trial for ANZAC25 and Metros Champs, that will allow Masters 1 and 2 riders to experience racing in an Elite category using their Masters Licence.

How will it work:

Masters 1 and 2 Licence Holders can nominate to race in an Elite category deemed equivalent to their current Masters category. Interested Masters riders should enter into an Elite Category on EntryBoss that they deem to be suitable, and this will be checked and approved by the State Handicapper and the Cycling Queensland Office. Interested Masers riders will be notified of their confirmed Race Category before start lists are produced. For those Riders that have already entered, that are looking to make a change to their Category please contact qld.info@cycling.org.au. Please note that this is not a compulsory change, riders choose to opt in. Feedback from this event will be considered when planning for the next proposed trial event, Metros Champs**
