The MGCC host the Anzac Day Soldier’s Memorial Bike Race each Anzac Day to commemorate our fallen soldiers who lost their battle at war. Anzac Day, 25 April, is probably Australia's most important national occasion. It marks the anniversary of the first campaign that led to major casualties for Australian and New Zealand forces during World War One and commemorates all the conflicts that followed. Each year we gather as a cycling community to race and remember, then celebrate together at the Mt Gambier RSL for refreshments and presentations. We invite all interested seniors and juniors to race this year on Sunday 25th April, beginning with sign on at our clubrooms from 11:30am (Blue Lake Sports Park) and racing at the Yahl circuit. Presentations will be held at the Mt Gambier RSL after the conclusion of the race. Afternoon tea will be provided by the RSL Women's committee.
At entry, please help the handicappers by selecting your normal club grade and providing a comment on your form.
Provisional start lists will be published and rider feedback is invited. Handicapping time gaps will be published after scratching close.
