2021 Federation University National Road Championships

Club Teams Criterium

All participants must hold a current AC All Disciple Race Membership, AusCycling Lifestyle, CA Race or Ride Membership at the time of the event. Temporary racing memberships are not permitted.

Entry categories

  • Masters 90+
  • Masters 120+
  • Masters 150 +
  • Masters 180 +

Age groups are by total age of the youngest three members, according to the 2021 age year.


The number of riders per team is 3 or 4. Mixed teams are permitted however they will be placed in the Men's category for placing.

Entry Regulations

  • Each team shall consist of 3 or 4 riders.
  • Clubs may enter any number of teams.
  • To be eligible to compete, each rider shall hold a current race membership from the club they represent.
  • All participants must wear approved club kit or plain kit.
  • Riders may only enter for one team per Championships.
  • Riders are not required to be Australian Citizens.
  • Combined club teams are not permitted. *An individual participating in this event must only enter as part of their Primary club. Unless the Primary club is not participating in a specific category where they may then participate with any Additional club of their choice that they are affiliated with.

Race Procedure

The event will be conducted in accordance with AusCycling Technical Regulation with the following exceptions:

The National Club Team Criterium Championship will be conducted where team members accumulate points towards the overall team score. Teams with the highest total of points then advance to the final round.

Points: Points will be scored based on placing of:

1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th  
15  12  10  8   7   5   4   3   2   1

Field Limit: A maximum of 20 teams will be permitted in the event. A minimum of 6 teams are required for the event to proceed.
Qualifying: 10 minutes (8 laps in Ballarat)
Finals: 15 minutes (12 laps in Ballarat)
Bonus Sprint Primes: A bonus prime will be award every 4 laps with the following points (5, 3, 2, 1). Dead heats on points, will be decided by the placing in the final sprint.

Scratching / Refunds

100% refunds will be provided until close of entry. After the close of entry there will be no refunds under any circumstances.
