Learn the theoretical and practical aspects of coaching beginner and intermediate road and track cycling skills! The Community Club Coach Course aims to provide coaches with an introduction to coaching skills of the road and track cycling disciplines including the planning, implementation, analysis and revision of such skills sessions. This is achieved through an understanding, and the application of the underpinning knowledge specific to cycling. The course is discipline- and event-specific to Road and Track Cycling. It is designed and targeted at beginner coaches who assist beginner and club riders to develop their road and track riding skills within a Club environment.
The course addresses discipline-specific planning and evaluation, bike set-up, road and track cycling skill development and practical coaching. The course is two days in duration – day one is the Introductory Skills Instructor Course (ISI) and day two is specific to road and track cycling.
Attendees must be current members of CA
Prior to the course, attendees must complete two free online courses:
1. Community Coaching General Principles Online Course
2. ASADA Anti-Doping online course
