The Mt Wellington Challenge returns in 2020 as part of Bike Week.
The race will commence at Longley and proceed to the Pinnacle of kunanyi/Mt
Wellington with the option of a shorter ride to The Springs.
The event will be held on closed roads from Pillinger Drive to the Summit.
We are working with Tasmania Police to finalise permits for the event and is
subject to approval (full refunds will be issued if for some reason the event is cancelled).
Individual Hill Time Trial
Race Start –
Longley International Hotel and proceed up Huon Road towards Neika and onto Fern Tree.
Riders will then turn left on to Pillinger Drive and onto Pinnacle Road
Race Finish –
The Springs (14.1Kms) or The Pinnacle (21.6Kms)
Entry is online only and will close at 6:00pm Thursday 27 February.
No entries will be accepted on the day.
If you are not a member of a club, please just answer 'no club' or 'day permit' in that field.
Event entry – $30 (Please select Long or Short Distance option)
Riders without a current CA Race or Ride licence will need to purchase a day permit – $12
Riders will commence in groups allocated by race organisers.
Please check the startlist (when issued) to confirm your group.
Riders completing the ride to the Pinnacle must have been at least 16 years of age on 1 January 2020.
Riders over the age of 12 on 1 January 2020 can ride to The Springs (subject to approval from race organisers). They must be accompanied by an adult. The adult will need to hold a CA Ride or Race Licence or purchase a day permit (the adult does not need to pay entry fees).
Riders must have a current Cycling Australia License.
