2020 Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool

The Classic, The Handicap, and the Criterium

The 2020 Melbourne to Warrnambool programme now includes a handicap race on the Saturday and a criterium on Sunday. For detailed information, please visit the event website.

Eligible membership categories: U23, Elite, Masters

Saturday 15 February 2020: Port Campbell to Warrnambool Handicap click here
Race Category: Open
Eligible membership categories: CA J19, U23, Elite, Masters, Veterans license

Sunday 16 February 2020: Warrnambool Criterium click here
Race Categories: Elite Men, Elite Women, Support Men, Support Women, Masters Men
Eligible membership categories: J19, U23, Elite, Masters

When entering the Classic or the Handicap, you can also enter the Criterium at the same time and receive a discount - see below!


Entry Fees

Melbourne to Warrnambool Cycling Classic: $180
Port Campbell to Warrnambool Handicap: $65
Warrnambool Criterium: $45

Discount bundles (when entered together):

M2W & Criterium: $200
Handicap & Criterium: $90

To obtain the discount bundle, enter the M2W or the Handicap and tick the Criterium option offered in the entry form.

A payment card fee may also be applied.

Grades

Categories (all riders will be marshaled in their respective race category to the end of the neutral section at which point the race will be one race controlled by Victoria Police):

  • NRS Men (Teams 4-7 and individuals)
  • Women Support
  • A Grade Support
  • B Grade Support
  • C Grade Qualifying Support*

*To be eligible to race in the C Grade Support category you MUST be, at a minimum, a B Grade state level rider or have raced open state Road Race events. The Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool Cycling Classic is a race and not a participation ride and so it is therefore necessary for the safety of everyone that we must impose these restrictions. Please include sufficient information in your entry remarks so that Cycling Victoria can qualify your entry.

Cycling Victoria reserves the right to withdraw an entry based on the information received regarding the ability of each rider entered to race in any category.

Membership Categories

  • NRS Men: U23, Elite

A full Cycling Australia Race membership is required (no temporary licences).
