JUNIOR CONFERENCE

Cycling Australia is pleased to announce the inclusion of a new Junior Conference at the 2020 Federation University Road National Championships. The Conference- which is based on a similar event from the UCI Road World Championships- is an opportunity for all junior aged riders, coaches and parents to hear from industry experts.

The conference will be held at: Federation University - Geoffrey Blainey Auditorium Building C

FIXIE CHAMPIONSHIPS - RULES

The National Fixie Championship will be conducted in accordance with CA Technical Regulation 3.33 (National Championships: Criterium) with the following exceptions:

• Race Length: The total race length will be 20 minutes (or 15 laps of the Ballarat Circuit)
• Sprint Primes (for Sprint Champion): Sprint Primes will be conducted at laps 5, 10 and 15.
  
• Minimum Starters: A minimum of 6 riders are required for the race to proceed.
• Maximum Starters: A maximum of 30 male and 30 female riders will be permitted to start.

A track bike is mandatory. Prior to the event, all bikes must be presented for a technical inspection.

Bikes that do not comply with the following characteristics will not be permitted to start.

• Drop handlebars only
• Lock-ring required
• Fixed-gear conversions prohibited
• Traditionally spoked wheels (no Disc, Tri spoke or TT wheels)
• Clipless pedals (pedal and cleat locking mechanism)
• Pedal/toe straps prohibited
• Clincher, Tubular, or Tubeless tyres are permitted
• Brakes prohibited
• Lights, reflectors and any other accessory prohibited

All participants must hold a valid CA Racing Membership or UCI License at the time of the event. Temporary racing memberships are not permitted.

Refunds

100% refunds will be provided until close of entry. After the close of entry there will be no refunds under any circumstances.
