🚴 Twilight Racing: Term 4, 2026

Wednesday night mountain bike racing at the Tamworth Mountain Bike Park, run by Tamworth Mountain Bikers.

It's a night for the whole family. From young Dirtmasters to grandparents, every age and ability is welcome. Racing is in a shortened cross-country (XCO) format, using a grading system unique to our park, so you're racing riders of a similar pace and fitness.

• Single week: $5 junior (U17) · $8 adult

AusCycling membership or licence costs are separate from entry fees.

Every rider needs a current AusCycling membership or licence that covers club-level MTB racing.

• Already a member? A Club or Race membership covers you.
• New to AusCycling? You may be eligible for a free 30-day trial. You'll need a suitable membership to keep racing after it ends.
• Just racing this week? A One Day Event Licence may be an option. Check with us before you buy one.

• 5:30 pm: Registration and check-in
• 5:45 pm: Dirtmasters race
• 6:05 pm: Race briefing
• 6:15–7:00 pm: Main race
• Around 7:15 pm: Dinner

🌧️ Washed out? Racing moves to Thursday with the same program and times.

🏁 Grades

In the main race, every grade rides the same loop, chosen by the race coordinator each week. Elite and A Grade sometimes have extra sections added. Race lengths are set to suit each grade.

• Elite: Our fastest, fittest riders.
• A Grade: Strong, experienced riders, just a step below Elite pace.
• B Grade: Our most popular grade, with a competitive field.
• C Grade: The entry point to racing, and a great place to start if you're new.
• Dirtmasters (U13): Racing for riders under 13.
• E-bikes and Adaptive Bikes

🍽️ Stay for dinner

Chicken, chips or salad, and a can of drink for $8 per person or $25 per family. Pay at registration, cash or card.
