  • Times: Gates Opens at 9:30am both days

Training sessions will be over two days to try to avoid the hottest part of the days

Day Session Time Description
Saturday Session 1 - Novices / Skills 10:00am-11:00am Introduction to track, confidence, skills and safe group riding.
Saturday Session 2 - Developing Riders 11:00am-12:00pm Group and race confidence, rider and race craft development.
Saturday Session 3 - Open Club Session 12:00pm-4:00pm Group training focused on rider development and individual goals.
Sunday Session 4 - Performance 10:00am-12:30pm Targeted individual and grouped efforts, with moto work where appropriate

πŸ‘‰ Session start times are when coaching begins on track β€” please be ready to go by then so riders get the full benefit of the session.

πŸ‘‰ Sessions are skills and development focused, and riders may move between groups or stay on for the following session depending on their level and if they're up for it

πŸ‘‰ If your child needs a different bike or any setup adjustments, let us know in advance β€” we can help organise things before the session (and often during as well).

Be mindful that times may change due to weather conditions

WHAT TO EXPECT

Many of our riders use track training to enhance performance, skills and tactics as well as to keep fit, however new riders to track are very welcome with more experienced riders providing guidance on getting used to track.

Each session will focus on a variety of skills and tactics based on growth areas identified either by the rider or by coaches. Be mindful that over the summer months, sessions will cater for heat and may require longer breaks between efforts.

With a wide range of events track racing can suit sprinters and endurance riders alike.

We cannot ride in the rain or excessive heat. A post will be made on our Facebook/Twitter page if training will be cancelled due to bad weather.

JUNIOR GEAR RESTRICTIONS

The restrictions referred to is the distance one revolution of the crank arm will propel the bicycle, this is known as the β€˜roll out’.

More info here on junior gearing and roll out here:
