Racing returns to The Bend Motorsport Park for a double-header day, with the SA State Road Championships for the elite grades up for grabs in Round 5.

The morning session is a road race for all open grades on the 7.7km GT Circuit, the longest track at the venue and one of the longest permanent circuits in the world. It’s wide open, fast and exposed, and the kind of racing where the strongest teams can dictate terms.

The afternoon switches to a very different style of racing: a kermesse for the elite, open and junior grades on the 3.3km western circuit. Shorter laps and a tighter circuit mean constant action, with the same riders who raced the road race in the morning needing to back it up on tired legs. The afternoon session may become a race of attrition or will we see some ‘sandbag’ the morning road race to give themselves a better shot at the afternoon.

All on racing, with plenty to watch from the pit lane, fence line or rooftop.

The Super Series Organisers acknowledge that in 2026 we will race on the lands of the Kaurna, Ngarrundjeri, Peramangk and Narrungga nations, lands which have been protected, cared for, and lived off by First Nations people for tens of thousands of years. We respect and value their past, present and ongoing connection to the land and cultural beliefs, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, nations and language groups.

The Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies website is a great place to learn more about the history of First Nations people, no matter whose land you stand on today.
