The Westbridge Funds Road National Championships is a closed competition. All participants need to be Australian citizens, with a UCI Licence stating they are Australian!
• If you wish to withdraw from an event after the close of entries, no refund will apply unless a medical certificate is provided to event organisers along with the refund request. The request, accompanied by a medical certificate, must be received no later than the day prior to the first day of competition, and upon consideration by AusCycling, you may be eligible for a full or part refund.
A reminder this is a National level AusCycling event. Sport Integrity Australia can conduct anti-doping testing at any event or competition. It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of your obligations and have completed clean sport education.
All riders over 13 are strongly encouraged to complete Anti-Doping Fundamentals and the 2026 Annual Update online courses through the Sport Integrity Australia eLearning page:

Early Bird Entries open Tuesday 15 September at 10am AWST/12pm AEST until Tuesday October 27 at 10am AWST/12pm AEST.
Note: Rider age category is determined by the riders age on the 31 December 2027.
All competitions in the Westbridge Funds Road National Championships are closed to international competitors and it is important to be aware of the following criteria that must be met to be eligible to compete in the National Championships:
• A participant must be an Australian citizen.
• The UCI Licence of the participant needs to reflect their Australian nationality.
• The participant must NOT have ridden for another country in that national team in the preceding two years AND have not contested the national championships of another country in the preceding two years.
Riders in the Elite category must also have met one of the following criteria:
• Be a current (or have been within the last year) member of a ProVelo Super League Team or UCI Registered Team, OR;
• Finished in the top 20 in the previous 3 years in an Elite Road National Championships, OR;
• Finished the U23 men road race in the past two years or finished the U19 women road race in the past two years, OR;
• Finished in the top 20 in a ProVelo Super League event in the past 2 years.
Wildcard: If you do not meet these requirements please email road.events@auscycling.org.au prior to entering with your racing accomplishments to be considered for a wildcard. Please note that wildcard approvals are granted on a year-by-year basis, and a wildcard issued in 2026 does not carry over to, or guarantee approval for, 2027.
• All riders need to hold an AusCycling race licence OR an have a 2027 UCI Licence, with it showing as having an Australian nationality. Ride, club or day AusCycling memberships will NOT be accepted. Please contact the AusCycling membership team (membership@auscycling.org.au) if you need to upgrade or review your membership.
• All riders need to have an UCI Licence with their nationality being Australia. Every rider with an AusCycling Race membership will be able to apply for this free 2027 UCI Licence through: the form here
