What's new for 2026!
There is something for everyone this year with lots of new categories and changes! Please carefully read this whole page.
This year's Bayview Blast has been changed to a 4 hour, 2 hour event and 1 lap event to reduce workload on our volunteers and deliver better value for money to riders.
There is a race category for everyone in 2026 with FULL age group categories every 5 years for men and women in the Bayview Blast or every 10 years for the Hava Blast. In keeping with the 2025 version of this event, we aim for this event to be one for cyclists to try longer form mountain bike racing at an affordable level, before attempting some of the larger events in SE QLD like the Noosa Enduro or Hidden Vale Epic, typically 5 to 7 hours long.
The most accessible option with a focus on the social atmosphere and finishing the ride, this is not a race. One 16km lap with only 250m of elevation (around 70–90 mins) with no stress.
Ideal for beginners and first timers.
Our most popular category for the weekend warrior. Racing starts in this category for beginners to intermediate riders. We encourage fast or experienced riders to consider the 4 Hour event. Ride at your own pace and enjoy the full experience without the pressure.
Perfect for your first event and regular riders. Typically 2-3 laps.
The pinnacle of off-road fitness, adventure and racing. This is a serious fitness challenge. Race your age group against the clock and test your endurance over multiple laps. For experienced riders or those ready to push their limits. Typically 4-5 laps.
Fun, social and good vibes focused. Share the ride and swap legs in this relay format.
Perfect for mates, couples or first-timers stepping up with a friend.
3 timed downhill segments within the full loop. Enter you age group then climb at your own pace, race the descents. Can you beat the XC racers?
Perfect for gravity focused riders.
Fun, safe and accessible racing for kids of all skill levels on a junior specific course. About 2km laps around the event village. Great for building confidence and skills.
Start with 1 Lap, you'll be fine and you're guaranteed to HAVA BLAST, or choose the 2 Hour option if you have a bit more fitness.
This is NOT just a race. It is a mountain bike festival. Ride the course, HAVA Blast with your mates and enjoy the event village.
Simply complete 1 lap of the course. Fastest lap wins.
Start as many new laps as you can within 2 hours. Once 2 hours is up, you complete the lap you are on. Most laps in the shortest time wins.
Start as many new laps as you can within 4 hours. Once 4 hours is up, you complete the lap you are on. For your last lap to count as part of your results, you must be finished BEFORE 5 hours. This helps keep the work day under control for our volunteers. We can't have our volunteers waiting around all afternoon for a late finisher. Thanks for understanding.
This is a relay team, only 1 rider on course at a time. Select 1 rider to start and complete the first lap, this rider then must cross the finish line, tag the next team member, this person then completes their lap. Continue the relay / tag until time in up. Most laps in the shortest time wins. We recommend the stronger rider starts first.
Ride the course at your own pace. The downhill segments will be marked. You can wait for a clear run, then send it. Podium for fastest cumulative time across all 3 segments.
Complete 2 or 4 laps in the shortest time time to win.
Complete as many laps as you can in 10 minutes. Most laps in the shortest time is the winner.
