About

Experience the Thrill of the Bayview Blast – Redland Coast’s Premier Mountain Bike Event! Proud Partner of Redlands Coast AdventureFest!! Get ready for an unforgettable outdoor adventure at the Bayview Blast 2026, taking place on Sunday, 24 May 2026 at the stunning Bayview Conservation Park in Redland Bay, Queensland. This celebrated mountain bike festival, proudly hosted by RATS Cycling Club, is now a proud partner of the Redlands Coast AdventureFest, making it a must-visit weekend destination for riders, families and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

Whether you’re a seasoned rider chasing laps or a newcomer looking for an epic outdoor experience, the Bayview Blast has something for everyone. Set against the backdrop of scenic coastal bushland and diverse trails, participants can choose from a range of race and ride options, from exciting Junior Mini Blasts and a 2 Hour Hava Blast, perfect for beginners, through to a full on 4 hour Bayview Blast mountain bike challenge for experienced riders.

Families and spectators will love the vibrant event village with great facilities including bike wash stations, skills areas, food, coffee, and plenty of space to relax and soak up the atmosphere. With courses designed to suit all abilities, world-class trail features and a supportive community environment, The Bayview Blast isn’t just a race… it’s a celebration of outdoor fun and active living on the Redland Coast.

Race Update

This year's Bayview Blast has been changed to a 4 hour event to reduce workload on our volunteers and deliver better value for money to riders. The average rider will gain an additional 2 hours of race time at no additional cost.

There is a race category for everyone in 2026. In keeping with the 2025 version of this event, we aim for this event to be one for cyclists to try longer form mountain bike racing at an affordable level, before attempting some of the larger events in SE QLD like the Noosa Enduro or Hidden Vale Epic, typically 5 to 7 hours long.

Sponsors will receive free entry equal to the retail value of sponsorship they provide. These can be distributed as you see fit.
We would prefer a donation of many small prizes rather than a few large prizes, this makes it easier for us to distribute podiums.
Sponsors will receive a category of your choice named after your business.
Our current sponsors are below:

Volunteers

These events are 100% run entirely by volunteers. This is how we provide so much value in prizes and affordable entry fees.
We need volunteers to help:

  • Bunt the course - 2 hours
  • BBQ Manager - Weekend - AusCycling membership reimbursement (valued at $244) - Free entry into the Bayview Blast for your whole family.
  • Cook on the BBQ - 2 hours
  • Junior marshal - 2 hours
  • Senior marshal early - 2 hours
  • Senior marshal late - 2 hours
  • Hand out rego plates - 2 hours
  • Pack up - 1 hour

All RATS members who volunteer will receive 1 free entry for themselves, partner or child into 1 round of the Summer Sprints.

Please sign up here: LINK

Parking

The carpark will be CLOSED from TIME as the race starts at the carpark entry and goes through the carpark. Under no circumstances are you to drive into the carpark once it has been closed. You will need to park off site and ride in. There is plenty of parking available in the carpark.
