Sport Integrity Reminder

A reminder this is a National/State level AusCycling event. Sport Integrity Australia can conduct anti-doping testing at any event or competition. It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of your obligations and have completed clean sport education.

All riders over 13 are strongly encouraged to complete Anti-Doping Fundamentals and the Annual Update online courses through the Sport Integrity Australia eLearning page: Sport Integrity Australia eLearning: Log in to the site. It is recommended you also download the Sport Integrity app which can assist you to check medications, supplements and complete your education.

Introduction

Peloton Sports Cycling Club has been hosting cyclocross racing for the past 3 years. We are proud to again host a round of the State CX series at the popular St Ives Showground. The area is very family friendly and well suited to spectating. There is an excellent café on the grounds, as well as numerous children’s activities, including the famous Tree Tops Adventure park.


Age Categories & Eligibility

For New CX Women Riders wishing to enter for free please email olivia.forrest@auscycling.org.au
(Women Adult's grades; never previously entered a NSW-ACT CX Series race)

  • Kids race (free entry) - kids under 11y/o, any bike welcome, 15 min, shortened course, parents may accompany on course
  • U13 Girls & Boys and below (May race a modified course)
  • U15, U17 Girls & Boys
  • Women - A, B & C Grades (Race separately to Men)
  • Men - A, B & C Grades

Riders need to have a current AusCycling racing license (Off road OR All Discipline) to race. Never raced before? No problem! – you can get a free four-week trial license to race (this includes Juniors).

Only racing Cyclocross? Choose an Offroad license to save money.

Grading guide:
• C = New to bike racing generally / moderate pace or older riders
• B = Any tyre width allowed, Pushing hard and pretty fast, but a broad range of speeds, MTBer`s will be started in a separate wave!
• A = Seasoned, competitive racers and Elites.
Your CX grade should be the same as your road racing or MTB grade. An A-grade rider trying CX for the first time is still probably best suited to A grade, etc.

1pm - 2pm Race 2 & 3 Presentations
2pm - 3pm Course Pack Down Any riders able to assist would be greatly appreciated!

Race schedule may be subject to change, depending on entries and category participants.


Course Map

The course will be set depending on ground conditions on race day. It will be similar to the one set in 2024, of length approximately 1.5-2 kilometres, consisting of natural and manmade features on grass and sand.


Directions & Location

The event will take place at the far end of St Ives Show Ground on Mona Vale road. There is water and toilets onsite and a canteen by the showground entrance and main car park serving food and drinks throughout the day.

Refund Policy

Any rider who wishes to receive a refund more than 2 days prior to the event may do so by withdrawing by scratching themselves via their EntryBoss account. Any rider seeking a refund must submit a doctor's certificate to AusCycling. All refund requests should be sent to nsw.info@auscycling.org.au. Refunds will be processed in line with the AusCycling Refund Policy
