About Park Orchards BMX Club

The Park Orchards BMX Club was founded in 1985. Our sporting club aims to provide organised training and race events for participants wishing to get involved in BMX racing as a sport. The club currently has a diverse group of members covering both genders and ranging in age from 3 to 50+. The club is friendly and child-oriented with the sport of BMX being particularly well suited to getting everyone in the family involved.

Our recent facility renovations included accessible toilets, paved outside areas and shade sail, drinking fountain, additional clubroom shelter, electric PROSTART gate, start hill shelter, renewed start hill asphalt.
Our track is 354m long and the current men's track record is held by Josh Jolly of Ballarat-Sebastopol Cycling Club (VIC) with a time of 29.589 seconds and women's held by Sienna Pal of Terrigal BMX Club (NSW) with a time of 32.524 seconds

Our track includes a Pro Straight which is offered at race meets that meet the 16+ age bracket and have been signed off by their coach as an Advanced Rider Where the 16+ Pro class is offered, the riders of that class on the day must all agree to either race the pro straight or not. The use of both straights in one race is not permitted for safety.

Our club holds club race days (or Clubbies) generally on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from February to early December depending on date availability.

Practice for this event starts at 4:00 pm (arrive at 4pm - 4:45pm to register and practice). Gates drop for racing at 5:00pm. Clubbies run for about 2 hours.

Weather permitting, coaching is run on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings. Gates Training is held on Thursday nights. These sessions provide opportunities for club members to come and train together. Visit our website for times and more details https://popbmx.com.au
