A reminder this is a National/State level AusCycling event. Sport Integrity Australia can conduct anti-doping testing at any event or competition. It is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of your obligations and have completed clean sport education.
All riders over 13 are strongly encouraged to complete Anti-Doping Fundamentals and the Annual Update online courses through the Sport Integrity Australia eLearning page:

Central Coast Cycling Club is excited to kick off the NSW/ACT Cyclocross series on May 18th with the return of CX racing to the Central Coast and Matcham Valley. Come and race, cheer, and enjoy the vibes at the lush Matcham Valley Pony Club grounds. With forested single track, fast gravel, and a punchy climb or two, it’s a course that has something for everyone.

Riders need to have a current AusCycling racing license (Off road OR All Discipline) to race. Never raced before? No problem! – you can get a free four-week trial license to race (this includes Juniors).

Grading guide:
• C = New to bike racing generally / moderate pace or older riders
• B = Any tyre width allowed, Pushing hard and pretty fast, but a broad range of speeds, MTBer`s will be started in a separate wave!
• A = Seasoned, competitive racers and Elites.
Your CX grade should be the same as your road racing or MTB grade. An A-grade rider trying CX for the first time is still probably best suited to A grade, etc.

Course will be similar to this segment: Course Map
The course will combine a fast gravel track start into grassy woodland and dirt trails. A sandpit crossing, log jumps, and a short climb into forested single track. You’ll probably want an all-round, moderately knobbed tyre for the mixed surface. Ground is soft and likely some mud in places.
Matcham Valley Pony Club is a short drive east of Gosford along the Central Coast Highway. It is approximately an hour’s drive from Hornsby in Sydney’s Northwest, and 1hr 20 south of Newcastle.
Parking locations will vary by time of arrival. Early arrivers may park at Matcham Valley. Paul Oval also has parking and walk through access to the race venue. Further instructions will be sent to registrants prior to race day.
Coming for the weekend? East Gosford, Erina and Wamberal are close to the event site. Join us for a club ride Saturday morning as well.
