2024 Schools MTB Series - Victoria - Round 5 Bendigo

Location: Spring Gully Trails, Wattle Drive Spring Gully Date: 8th Sept 2024

Entry fee: $30 Registration and Start Times: Registration will open at 8:00am. The first race will begin at 9:10am, detailed schedule below.

Round five of Victorian Schools MTB series will be run on the Spring Gully mountain bike trails. There will be two courses running at the same time, with a combination of single track and fire road to accommodate different age groups and capabilities. Parking is available on Wattle Drive and Retreat Road, with a short walk from there to registration. Riders are expected to race on a roadworthy bike.

Riders can choose to enter either one of two categories in their chosen age category:

Novice category is suitable for a rider who is new to MTB racing, or has limited experience racing before.

Racing category is suitable for a rider who is experienced and raced at either Club, State or National levels.

Age categories and intended race distance for the series (individual courses will determine actual race distance):

U9 - approx 3kms

U11 - approx 5kms

U13 - approx 7kms

U15 - approx 12kms

U17 - approx 15kms

U19 - approx 20kms

Parking Parking is available on Wattle Drive and along Retreat Road.

Coffee Van. A coffee van will be on site from 8am

Race start time schedule (Subject to change):

8:00am – 9:00am Official Course Practice. (Unofficial Practice outside this time is available at riders own risk )

9:15am: Under 15 Boys Race & Novice division, long Course.

9:20am: Under 9 Boys and Under 9 Girls, short course.

9:45am Under 11 Boys Race and Novice divisions, short course.

10:30am: Under 15, Under 17, Under 19 Girls, Race & Novice divisions, long course.

10:40am: Under 13 Girls Race & Novice divisions, Under 11 Girls, Race & Novice divisions, short course.

11:30am: Under 17 and Under 19 Boys Race & Novice division, long course.

11:45am Under 13 Boys Race & Novice division, short course.

1:00pm: Round 5 Presentations

1:20pm: Series presentations
