Entry Categories

The following categories are on offer

Notes: Novice is a participation race class. To be eligible for Novice, riders must have joined AusCycling within the last 12 months. New riders aged 8-12 can choose between Novice or Challenge Class but cannot race both.

Riding Up & Merging

Riders are permitted to ride up into another age class or gender as per AusCycling Technical Regulations - BMX Racing.

2.01.01 Except at National Championships, National Series and State/Territory Championships, competitors may only enter up (ride up) two (2) categories above their racing age or ride the opposite gender category equal to or above (but not below) their own racing age . This includes age-on-day and year of birth racing.

Where a race class has less than the Sanctioning Matrix, categories may be merged

2.01.08 Categories may be merged up or down based on the number of riders entered into surrounding categories, the level of the event, riders age, gender and skill level.

In the event that a category is merged, riders will be awarded points based on the category that they entered. Riders will be awarded prize money based on the race class they entered.

Notes:

• Novice, Masters and Challenge Class riders wishing to race in only two rounds, or all three, but pay per round can enter and pay at the track on the night
• Credit Card Fees are additional to the fees above and passed on at cost (1.2% + 30c per entry)

Scratching

• Entered & now can't make it? An automated refund is available using the EntryBoss' Scratching mechanism.
• Please note: In order to receive a refund, riders must scratch by the entry close date. Refunds for non-attendance after this time are at the discretion of the event organisers and may require a medical certificate.

• Transponders:
  
  • This is a transponder timed event series.
    
  • It is a rider's responsibility to ensure the transponder is correctly affixed to their bike and is operational which includes subscription
  • Transponders can be purchased from Jingili BMX Club
  • A transponder must have an active Subscription PRIOR to entering. This can be done at https://mylaps.sqorz.com/
    
  • All riders (except Participation classes) must have a transponder
• Plates:
  
  • Riders are required to supply a plate number at entry.
  • Any duplicate plate numbers will dealt with by adding an 'X' to one plate to resolve the duplicate.

Event Cancellation Refunds

• Riders will receive 100% refunds if the event is cancelled.
• We will do our best to communicate our intentions early if the event is at risk of not proceeding.
