Course Info

START OF THE RACE - SENIOR AND FEMALE RACE - BLUE LAKE BMX CLUB, MILLARD STREET, MT GAMBIER. JUNIOR RACE WILL START OPPOSITE THE ENTRANCE TO THE BLUE LAKE GOLF CLUB AT 8AM (Grant Ave).

Men's Course

The 100 Mile Classic starts at the Mount Gambier BMX Club on Millard Street at 10am. From there the riders proceed along White Avenue & Benara Road/Carpenter Rocks Road. Riders continue to Carpenter Rocks and turn on to Hercules Street where they will be turned at the car park opposite the BP Station. Riders return on Carpenter Rocks Road and continue until a left turn on to the Kongorong-Tantanoola Road. Riders turn left at Tantanoola Road and then turn right at Kennedy Road in Tantanoola and then right at Princes Highway before turning left to Glencoe via Mile Hill Road (feed station 1). On leaving Glencoe, riders veer left at Medhurst Road and cross Kangaroo Flat Road to Wandillo Forest Road. Riders turn right at Wandillo Road and then right at Sassanowski Road, then a left turn to Jubilee Highway, right to Tollner Road, right at White Avenue and left at Grant Avenue (feed station 2). Riders turn right at Bay Road to Allendale Primary School where the riders will turn and then return to Mount Gambier along Bay Road. The finish will be on Bay Road near the police station at approximately 2.30pm.

Women's Course

The Women's 118km Classic starts at the Mount Gambier BMX Club on Millard Street at 10:45am. From there the riders proceed along White Avenue & Benara Road/Carpenter Rocks Road. Junior Classic Course

Start time for juniors - 8:00am.

Under 11 - 1 lap (must be chaperoned). Under 13 - 2 laps (must be chaperoned). Under 15 - 4 laps Under 17 - 5 laps

General Course Notes:

• Riders are to be at the start line 5 minutes before their start time.
• Official Feed Station (Senior Courses) - at 80km, (top of Range Hill-approximately) and 118km (Grant Avenue-approximately).
• Riders to supply own food and drinks.
• SAPOL and The Mount Gambier Cycling Club request that there be no follow cars for this unsupported event. Penalties may apply to riders if not adhered to.

Presentations

• Presentations:- will be held at City Hall. Enter via Cave Gardens from 5.00pm for a 5.30pm start. RSL Bar Staff will be in attendance.

When Entering

• You will be asked for your regular scratch grade and some handicapping comments.
  
• Providing your regular grade helps riders self-select into similar abilities.
  
• The handicappers review all nominations and determine your start group and mark after considering the mix of all other event entrants.
  
• ALL NUMBERS TO BE COLLECTED EITHER FRIDAY NIGHT OR SATURDAY MORNING. NO SIGN ON WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SUNDAY AT THE BLUE LAKE, UNLESS PRIOR ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE (please contact Tina Opperman 0439806991).

Race Day Reminders

• No License, No Race - riders need a current license (or proof of renewal) to race. AusCycling licenses only.
• Red Light Policy applies - please bring a suitable light and display in flashing mode .

Over $18,000 in prizes across the weekend. Should you not collect or organise collection of prizes they will be forfeited back to MGCC.
