WSMTB Social Ride - Oaks Fire Trail - Woodford to Glenbrook

The next WSMTB social ride will be on Sunday 16th July 2023 at 9am.

We will ride along the scenic Oaks fire trail, the classic Blue Mountains ride. It's 27km in length and just over 400 metres of climbing spread out over the journey. The last 6 kms is single trail which is suited for all riders from beginner's to experienced.

To get to Woodford there are a few options. The most popular will be by train. If you are taking this option please be mindful there are limited spaces for bikes on the train. There is also a small car park area on Railway Parade, Woodford for those driving and this will be the meeting point for the ride.

Everyone is welcome, the expected ride time is around 2.5 hours as there is options to enjoy the view along the way. That said it is a social ride so we encourage you ride at your normal pace and if you need to head off early or you wish to slow down just say so along the way and enjoy.

There is water available at either end of the trail however it is advised you bring enough food/water to be self sufficient. There will be a couple of people from the club acting as leaders/sweepers for all levels of riders.

The ride will start once those catching the train up/down to Woodford arrive. Please catch the train which arrives at Woodford as close to 9am as possible.

It is expected that we will regroup at a few spots along the way however the final regroup will occur at the Glenbrook National Park entry gates. It's then onto a nearby cafe.
