  • ABOUT

All climbing or all downhill ? Why not both ? XC mountain biking will have you covered with a course over varying terrain including climbs, descents and the occasional flat bit.

This event will provide competitors with an opportunity to access the private Kellevie Mountain Bike Park for a spin around a selection of the best single track at the venue.

    • Online Entries Only: No entries will be accepted on the day

    RACE DETAILS:

This series is XCO style which means competitors complete a certain number of laps around a defined loop course. Open / Elite riders will complete the most laps with less laps required for other grades. For more technical courses, the juniors and Sport riders will a shortened / easier lap. Prior to the main race there is a junior ride for children who are not wanting to race but enjoy riding off road in a group. This is non-competitive with an emphasis on fun and group participation . It runs for approximately 15-20 mins . Oh and we nearly forgot to mention... We are now running an E-Bike category for those who like a little assistance! Competitors and their families are welcome to relax at the venue after the event (it is a perfect spot for a picnic lunch) and there will also be an opportunity for riders to cruise some of the other trails in the park at the conclusion of the race.

For more information , see our website https://hobartwheelers.com.au/.

    Venue: Kellevie MTB Park

The track will link together a number of favourite trails from the many events that have been held at Kellevie over the years, which include both hand-crafted single track and few wider trails to allow for passing. The circuit is expected to be around 5-6km long, with a map of the circuit to be provided with the pre-race briefing (to be emailed after registration closes).

    Bikes:

Please be sure your bike is in great nick, with working brakes, no play in the bearings and plugged bar ends. Mountain bike riding can be dangerous and we need you to wear a helmet and gloves.
