Current racers of all levels welcome. New racers are invited to challenge yourselves to try racing in a safe supported environment.

Format

• 3 races: hot lap, criterium and elimination (details below)
  

• Grades: A to D

* All entered female riders are eligible for FREE ENTRY into the afternoon criterium

Course

Casey Fields criterium track, a purpose built fully-closed bitumen track, 2.2km length

Cranbourne East, 45km/1hr from CBD, Melways ref 1349G

Approximate Schedule

0900	Registration opens
1000	Race 1 Hot Lap (1 lap of the big circuit).	Each rider races for <5 minutes
1100	Race 2 Croydon Cycleworks Criterium (big circuit).	Duration 40-60 minutes depending on grade
1230	Race 3 Snooze Elimination Finale (small circuit).	3-10 minutes each grade
1300	Presentations

Eligibility:

Women only, 30 yrs+

Riders need a current AusCycling Race licence ($250 12 months https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/race-all-discipline or free 4 week trial licence https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/free-trial)

Race Details

Race 1 - Hot Lap: 1 timed lap of 2.2km circuit. Riders set off at 30 second intervals from a standing start. Times from this race will assist validate gradings for the other races. No special TT equipment allowed (tri-bars, skinsuit, aero helmet etc).

Race 2 – Croydon Cycleworks Criterium: Signature event of the day

Graded scratch races. Ride marshals will accompany D grade.

A & B grades: 60 minutes + bell lap

C grade: 45 minutes + bell lap

D grade: 40 minutes + bell lap

Race 3 – Snooze Elimination: Short race on 660m circuit, grades run separately. 3 Neutral laps then 1-2 slowest riders eliminated per lap, final 3 compete for placings.

Notes on Entries

Pre-enter only, no on-the-day entries

Registration includes entry to all 3 races. It is expected you compete in all races.

Riders who fall behind or are lapped in race 2 will NOT be made to withdraw. You may still do race 3 if you don’t finish race 2.

All riders (even trial riders) are eligible for all prizes.

$25 Includes entry to all 3 races.

Refreshments will be available (donation optional)

Prizes (cash and goods)

• Hot Lap: first 10 places

• Criterium: first 3 places in each grade

• Elimination: first 3 places in each grade

• Plus overall champion, best efforts by newcomers and random prize draws.
