XCM (Cross country marathon) races are approximately four hours long and can be completed Solo, or as a Duo (team of two, relay style). This allows for riders of all skills and abilities to get involved and challenge themselves accordingly!

COVID-19 Notice

We are taking COVID-19 restrictions seriously.
By entering this event, you agree to the following:

  • You have not been instructed to self isolate, and you have not been a close contact of someone who has, or yourself returned from overseas travel within the past 14 days
  • You currently have no "flu like" symptoms.
  • You are fit and well to enter the cycling event.
  • You will follow all new safety guidelines and directions of the club while attending the event, and

  • 1:00pm: COURSE CLOSED
  • Podiums and random prize draw to be held ASAP after course closure

Self seeded, ability based categories for XCM racing.

Solo Senior (4hr)

  • Male: A,B,C,D grade & E Bike
  • Female: A,B,C grade & E Bike

    Duo Senior (4hr)

  • Duo Male
  • Duo Female
  • Duo Mixed
  • Duo E BIke

    Solo Juniors

  • U19 M/F 4hr
  • U17 M/F 2hr
  • U15 M/F 2hr

    Junior Duo

  • U19 (includes U17 and U15 riders) - 4hr (no gender, any pairs)
  • U13 - 2hr Duo only (no gender, any pairs) (modified course)

  • Scratching

    Need to withdrawal from the event? EntryBoss enables a self-serve refund if things change and you can't make the event. Please use the 'Scratch' button to trigger a refund and automatically remove yourself from the start list, (Please note the scratching cut-off as the button is not available after this).

    Scratching is permanent, if you only need to make a change, please email timing@ambc.asn.au


    On the day

    You will receive a race plate with a transponder attached. Cable ties are provided, although it is your responsibility to ensure that your race plate is visible and correctly mounted. You must return your race plate after your race, or you will be asked to replace them!


    COURSE

    Courses are between 8-10km long and about 30 minutes for elite riders. Times may vary significantly due to track conditions. We have supplied some proposed loops however we cannot guarantee that these will be the loop used on race day, due to the demands of the park managers.


    PARKING

    TBA Parking will be directed on race day!


    VOLUNTEERS

    We need you. These races happen with the good work done by our volunteers. If you are available to help set up or pack up or assist with anything else please get in touch with our volunteers coordinator via email: racevolunteers@ambc.asn.au

    Please lend a hand in packing down the event - many hands make light work

    LICENSING/MEMBERSHIP

    All competitors must produce proof of an AusCycling race license at sign on or you will not be issued a plate.

    Note a current AusCycling All-Discipline or Off-Road license is required to ride these events.
