Sprintfest!

Sprint Racing is back at the Adelaide Superdrome!

Sprint is the easiest discipline to get into on the track, so why don't you give it a go? With plenty of races across the evening, you'll get heaps of chances to try out different tactics and work on perfectly timing that dash to the finish line!

Sprintfest Rules:

1. During each Match Sprint, relevant UCI and AusCycling regulations will apply including Equipment Regulations.
2. Riders will be seeded into a Ranking based on Qualifying time (Flying 200) at the first Sprintfest of the season.
3. Each rider will be given a token for their ranking which they must hold on to in between each race.
4. Riders will be called up to race off in each round based on the ranking they hold at the time of that race. On approaching the Starter to draw for position, the riders will surrender their ranking tokens.
5. After the race, the winning rider will take the higher-ranked token and the losing rider will take the lower-ranked token. This is now each rider’s Ranking for the next Round.
6. Riders will be awarded a Sprintfest Winner pin if they win their match in the Final Round.
7. If time permits, the Final Round bracket (1v2, 3v4) may be run as the first round of Sprint racing, before Round 1.
8. All starts will be unheld unless both riders have organised holders.
9. All rounds will be run in ascending order, with the match containing the rider ranked #1 taking place last.
10. At each subsequent round of the Season, Rider Rankings may be adjusted based on new riders (who will need to Qualify at their first race of the season).

Not-Rules for Sprintfest

1. Have fun wherever possible.
2. Equipment used should reflect the level of racing of Sprintfest. 5-spokes, discs, visored-helmets and other marginal gains are discouraged, but not illegal.
3. Experienced riders should be mindful of their opponent’s skill level during each Match Sprint and ride accordingly.
