Northern Cycling Team Time Trial - Secret Handicap

Masters racing for men & women aged 30+

This race requires a current membership with AusCycling ltd

All attendees will be required to abide by Northern Cycling Pandemic Plan in a COVID Environment.

Walk up entries will not be accepted at registration on race day.

Duty Roster 2022 - Northern primary members will be required to do two duties in a 12 month period, Northern add - on members & visiting riders who race constantly at our club will be required to do one duty. Proof of Double Vaccination for Northern Cycling Club Events

Under Victorian Government vaccination directions, we are required to have proof at our events that an attendee (club members competing in a race, officials, volunteers, visiting riders & spectators) have been double vaccinated.

QR code check - in at our events will be through the Service Victoria app, which can show proof of your COVID-19 Certificate when you check in, this will be one of the options we will be using at our races.We will have COVID - Officials in place next to QR code check – in areas, confirming and recording that a attendees COVID- 19 certificate has been sighted at registration.

Once the COVID- Vaccination Digital Certificate has been sighted and ticked off and put on our records, moving forward in the future it would just be a matter of normal QR check-in.

Proof of vaccination can be provided in person (e.g. showing your vaccination digital certificate on your mobile), or you can provide a digital image ( e.g. scan or photo) of your vaccination evidence by email to our secretary Tony Gherxi before you attend our event.Email: northerncyclingaus@gmail.com

Race Information

Circuit: National Blvd

Distance: 15 laps

Start Time: Teams will start one minute apart with the first team starting at 9:00AM.

Race Fee: $15.00 (please note we prefer online payment if possible)

Format

• Team Secret Handicap with team times to be recorded on My Laps.
• Teams will comprise four riders of similar ability - the third rider across the finish line is the official time.
• No time trial bikes allowed.

Entry Information

• All riders who have a team must put the names of their team members in the remarks box and also give your team a name.
• All riders are encouraged to enter, even if you are not in a team, our club handicapper will put you in a team with similar ability - please note your single entry in the remarks box.

Trial riders are not eligible for any prizes, and race entry fee is free (trial riders only) for Northern Cycling races.

Northern Cycling 2022 Major Awards Qualification: Northern primary and add on members two major aggregates (Northern members overall aggregate / Northern women’s overall aggregate) and club championship race, will require 6 races and two of those races must be a handicap event (excluding any handicap events at National Blvd). This will allow Northern members to be eligible for the aggregate awards and qualify to race in the club championship. Qualification period will start from Northern Cycling first race in January 2022 until its last race in October 2022. Points will only be allocated to Northern Cycling members.

2022 Penalties :

Late entry fee for visiting riders, missed cut off entry closing time, extra $5.00 = $20.00 entry fee.

Tail light not compliant when at start line, club to give them a rental for $5.00.

Forgot transponder, club to give them a rental for $5.00.

Lost blue transponder, $55 to replace.

Forgot race number, club to give them a rental for $5.00.

Lost race number, $10 to replace.
