About

Aim: To bang out some timed laps on First Turkey’s finest.

Date: Saturday 24th July 2021

Location: First Turkey Mountain Bike Reserve, Norman Gardens

Registrations close: 6pm Friday 23rd July 2021

Race start time: Saturday 3:00 pm

Race number allocation: from 2:00 pm at German St car park.

Long Track (Course TBA)
* Elite Men – 4 laps x 7 km, 28 km total
* Sport – 3 laps x 7 km, 21 km total
* Open Female Elite - 3 laps x 7 km, 21 km total
* E-Bike - 3 laps x 7km, 21km total
* Masters (40 yrs as of 31 Dec) - 3 laps x 7 km, 21 km total
* Super Masters (50 yrs as of 31st Dec) 3 laps x 7 km, 21 km total
* Junior U17 (Ages 11 to 16 as of 31st Dec) - 2 laps x 7 km, 14 km total
Short Track (Course TBA)
* Novice – 3 laps x 6 km, 18 km total
* Junior U12 (Ages 9 to 12 as of 31 Dec) - 2 laps x 6 km, 12 km total

All categories will ride the longer course except Novice and the Under 12s who will race the shorter track. Course can be subject to change at Event Directors discretion

Classes: Elite Men, Sport Men, Open Ladies, Masters, Super Masters, Novice, Juniors (aged 11 to 15), E-bike.

Course: Will be advised closer to the date. Course subject to change at the Event Directors discretion.

Online Entry Cost: $25 seniors; $20 juniors

AusCycling annual competition licence required or Day Licence available for non AusCycling members for an additional charge. A social licence cannot be used for this event.

Awards and Series Points: There will be podium place presentations following the event. Any prizes will be randomly drawn and subject to sponsorship uptake.

This is the fourth & final round of the 2021 Central QLD XC series, series points will be awarded for all individual places, and club points will also be awarded. Series winners will be decided from the best 3 placings across 4 rounds. Rocky MTB or Gladstone MTB Club members who chose to work a round will receive average points for that round (limited to one round only). No cash or sponsors prizes will be awarded for podium finishers, all entry fees will go towards building new club trails this year. A random draw will be held after the race.

All four rounds count in this years series (i.e no dropping your worst round as in previous years series).
