On the day You will receive a race plate and transponder. The race plate attaches to your handlebars and the transponder is to be secured to your fork leg. Cable ties are provided, although it is your responsibility to ensure that these are visible and correctly mounted. You must return these after your race, or you will be asked to replace them!

XCO courses 4-5km long, aiming to be a total race time of 1h 15 for the winner of each category. This means that A graders are expected to do approximately 12.5minute laps, whereas D graders are expected to be over 20 minutes. The trails used are generally Intermediate-Advanced, although B-lines are provided. We have supplied some proposed loops however we cannot guarantee that these will be the exact loop used on race day due to the demands of the park managers.

Note a current AusCycling All-Discipline or Off-Road license is required to ride these events (or a Cycling Australia / MTBA equivalent), primarily for insurance purposes. Bring your license card / digital membership with you to sign-on! If this is your first try at racing you can get a FREE 4 week trial membership (https://www.auscycling.org.au/membership/other/free-trial ) (only for people who have not held a CA or MTBA membership in the last 3 years).
