About

The Corry Newbridge Classic is a 52 km handicap event to celebrate the contribution of John Corry, one of the founding members of Victorian Veteran's Club major road race. This year's race falls on John's 90th birthday and his family are putting together a major celebration around this race.

The race starts and finishes in Newbridge, John's home town. The course consists of two laps of a 26 km circuit. Post race refreshments and presentations will take place in the Newbridge Hotel, courtesy of the Corry family.

Prize money of $2,000 is on offer including a sprint after the first lap of the two-lap race.

The race is open to all Masters with a current Auscycling licence. The field will be limited to 120 riders and priority given to former Australian Veteran's Cycling Council members.

Please enter the appropriate grade to assist the handicapper.

Handicapping

As a general rule, please provide some notes at entry to help the handicappers place you in the right grade. Racing is at it's best when competing against riders of similar ability.

For handicaps, please provide your regular scratch race grading., This helps with an initial grouping of riders into groups of similar ability. The handicappers will then build handicap bunches and determine time gaps based on the course, distance and composition of entries.
